It was my mum's birthday yesterday, only she was in one place, I was in another place, and she wanted to go to another place altogether. We ended up at Leeds Castle, and I had a series of interesting journeys that saw my day started at 4AM. Which was actually quite fun - my town was completely silent at 4AM. Anyways, it was worth it, as Leeds Castle was pretty good fun, and a nice selection of things to photograph, including jousting. The jousting was overly showy, and was clearly done by a group that had more of a background in theatrics and performing than actually fighting, but the horsemanship and horses were incredibly good. Great stuff :
