Bwuahah, I really didn't think I'd ever be writing a commentary on modern art that's not full of bias and hate. But oh well :)

I got landed in the Tate Modern back on Sunday, admittedly part choice (that's the cultured part in me), but partly because I was halfway across the millenium bridge when the rain decided to stop faffing about and make a proper job of it. Sadly (or not), due to restrictions in the Tate Modern (herein the Tate), photography is limited  to only in the Turbine hall, and no tripods, or firings of flash. Which is fair enough I guess. Anyways, the current item in the Tate is a temporary art installation called Shibboleth. It cost £300,000 to install, and its a 167metre long crack throughout the Turbine Hall. And I think, its served its purpose if I can say its the first piece of modern art that actually looks appropriate to its pricetag. It's two foot deep at its deepest point, and honestly, it has to be seen to believed. It truly is a piece of art.

If you're in London, I'd reccomend popping into the Tate and taking a look. It's a really fun piece of art, and its free to visit. Anyways, heres a couple of shots I took of the Crack, and you can find hundreds at this flickr group page.
