This here is Berty the Badger. I'm original like that. Berty the badger is very upset. He's upset because a bunch of nazis  farmers want to gas him. As it is, life is hard enough for Berty. Badgers like him enojy playing Hari-Kari-Badger on most motorways, something you tend not to repeat as a badger. Badgers like Berty here are wonderful and cute little creatures. They're the largest mainly carnivorous creature (indigenous) in the UK. And they're capable of fighting off Wolves and Bears, although they cannot really attack/hurt larger prey. Like humans. Humans that like gassing them. This is kind of bad for Berty, as there are few gas masks readily available for Badger usage.

The problem is, Berty is the result of years of ignorance by nazis farmer. Farmers think that Badgers spread bovine tuberculosis to cattle. Thus if you're a nazi farmer, the only way to save your cattle is to eradicate badgers. Berty doesn't like being gassed :(

Well the ISG would like to point out this is bullshit and gassing badgers is stupid. Hear-hear! Cattle spread TB (to badgers), and the poor, TB infected badgers then stumble around with TB. The more sensible method according to myself, the ISG and Berty is to prevent movement of cattle around the country and test them for TB more often. Apparently, culling of badgers actually agitated the situation, as otherwise placid and homely badgers were quite happy where they were. They were provoked to move by...trying to kill them. The problem is, regardless of this, the national farmers union still ignores it and believes gassing badgers is the most effective way. Despite the fact that the ISG's report shows that the cost of gassing badgers is 40 times the savings, and regardless of the wise words from the ISG, the NFU want to go and gas some more badgers. Poor Berty and the other Badgers :(
